Things about OS X worth changing

June 5th, 2008 · No Comments

I use Mac OS X almost exclusively. Here is my list of things I would change.

* Make an option for a Windows keyboard mapping and layout. Those of us who live in reality and need to go back and forth to Windows don’t want to remember Command-V here and Ctrl-V there. Worse, if we have an external Windows keyboard and a Mac laptop keyboard, it really screws with the mind.

* Put menu bars in the application windows.

* Make an Explorer-like tree view. Don’t make me click exactly on a little triangle to open my tree and then wade through the hierarchy when I really just want a navigable tree with file listing.

I think that’s it. OS X would be perfect then.
