Some of the incredibly loyal, faithful, forgiving, and understanding AlbumPost.com users have written to me wondering why it’s down.
AlbumPost suffered a major hardware failure and we’ve been working to get things restored. I bought AlbumPost a while back (a devoted fan turned owner). Dave and Dave, the previous owners, built AlbumPost’s infrastructure when owning hardware was a good choice. They needed tons of storage and leasing it was cost prohibitive. The landscape has changed, and unfortunately, when some hardware components failed they could not be replaced.
In a nutshell, we’ve had to migrate everyone’s albums to a completely new server and re-install everything. That is taking a lot more time than we had hoped, but it is progressing and I can report good news that from all the spot checking I have done, everyone’s data is intact.

PS, when AlbumPost does come back, it’s going to get a major series of feature enhancements. So if you have any feature requests or things that have been on your mind, please let me know about those too.

If yes, can you please tell me if you are out of business? Your service is offline and it seems there is no way to contact you.

I have this on a website and now it is not working.

Kind of a weird way to contact you, but the Launchpoint Software link from http://www.albumpost.com brought me here. I was wondering if you had any information about this company or why their website is longer available?
I ask because I had quite a few pictures in my album, along with my parents, that we did not save to our own hard drives to save space.
Can you provide any information about albumpost.com.

Thanks so much for this post. I’ve been wondering what’s happened, and am very glad to learn that albumpost will be back! It’s a great tool and very user friendly! Can’t wait to get back on – I’ve got lots of pictures to upload!

Just wondering when albumpost will be back up. I had to use another photo site for now, but when albumpost comes back up, I will use both of them. there were things I really liked about albumpost compared to the 0ne I have now at smugmug.

Any updates about Albumpost? I check it often to see if it’s up and running and am so worried that I’ll never get my photo’s back. I had over 1,000 pictures of my kids on there including their births, special occasions, etc. I felt that albumpost was secure and had no reservations about uploading them to that website. I’m really sad that it’s still down
